Director of Software Engineering
Our Client is an award-winning web design and marketing agency and the leading provider of member-interactive, mobile, reservation, and marketing software for the Private Club industry (Golf & Country, Health & Fitness, Yacht, City & Dining.)

The person in this role sits on the Management Team and will oversee the evolution of
MembersFirst’s software. We are looking for someone with strong leadership qualities who can manage our Development efforts of high-quality products for our clients.
Successful candidates will need to have a passion for our software and thrive producing new features that will drive client satisfaction. They should have the enthusiasm and ambition to complete projects to the highest standard and want to be part of an organization that puts technology at the heart of everything it does. We are looking for an individual with the drive to succeed, who is a people manager, but is hands-on and in the source code daily, providing mentorship and ensuring code quality.
Responsibilities
- Client-facing Development representative
- Manage Development team of 4-7 individuals
- Mentor and train Development team members
- Experience in SQL, .NET, Classic ASP (a plus)
- Assist with development efforts for our web-based Classic ASP/ASP.NET application
and related applications
- Participate in the maintenance of existing applications, building new applications,
and migrating applications to new platforms
- Set, manage, and report upon Development priorities
- Oversee accuracy and timeliness of all Development projects
- Provide pre-sales scoping for custom development projects
- Work closely with Product and IT teams
- Interact and support internal team and external clients
Technical Skills Required
- SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS
- C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, and Visual Studio
- HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, JSON, and XML
- Source code control (SVN, Git, Github/Bitbucket, TFS)
- Web Services
- API development such as REST and SOAP
- Applications experience in Content Management Systems (CMS), eCommerce, CRM
- Nice To Have Experience
- VBScript/Classic ASP
- PHP and MySQL
- Windows Servers including IIS
- Security and Encryption
Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Proven ability to manage, lead, and develop a team
- Experience directing others: establishes clear directions;

- Experience developing direct reports and is a people builder
- Experience with hiring and staffing a team.
- Strong priority setting in order to eliminate roadblocks and create focus.

- Exposure to development methodologies (Agile/Scrum, SDLC, Waterfall, XP, others)
- Strong planning and scoping skills. Able to measure performance and evaluate
results.

on most important priorities.
- Ability to work in SaaS production, staging, development environments
- Availability to support 7x24x365 SaaS operation as needed
- Willingness to occasionally push code and update infrastructure after hours

challenging times.
